The Manifesto

How many times has it been now, you study for hours only to have a paper in front of you and fail. You think "what's wrong with me?", "am I stupid?", "I'm just bad at maths, at chemistry, at school." How many times have you said this to yourself, you try, try, try and try again, you put in the work yet nothing improves, not your grades, everyone is still yelling at you saying you're not doing enough and you just want to disappear into your games, it's too hard and no one believes you actually do any work, so honestly, why even bother.

Firstly, I want to tell you, you're not alone, millions of people have gone and go through the same, for example Charles Darwin, sounds familiar? The father of evolution you had to study, his own father called him a disappointment to the family. He did poorly in school, and look at his legacy, his name and face are forever immortalised in your textbook. But you're probably thinking, that doesn't count, he's just 1 in a million, and you're right, because many got to your position, saw their failures as themselves, let it crush them and gave up, but why can't you be that 1 in a million? Say "Why not me?". You're not a failure because you failed, only when you stop trying. And if you ever feel doubt, I want you to say this repeatedly to yourself, "I'm not my own failure".

Who am I to tell you this? No one special, just like you I failed but never let my failures weigh me down nor define me, just like you, someone who isn't too fond of the rigid school system but loves learning and just like you, someone who studied for hours only to get my paper and struggled just to pass. So what do I have to tell you:

Before anything else, I want you to know that the problem isn't you, it never was. I do not know you personally, but your environment, your life, everything could be going wrong, it's hard and I won't pretend otherwise. I won't try to claim I understand, but I do know that I can at least help you improve the way you study, after all I'm all too aware of the lies you've been sold. Reread the chapter. Drill the flashcards. Drag a highlighter over every line until the page is more yellow than white.

And now there is a newer version of the same lie: the AI that summarises the book for you, the AI that does the homework for you, each one promising to do the work so you do not have to. You give up your time and your money, you let it do the thinking in your place, and as Confucius said, learning without thought is labour lost. So when you fail anyway the story is always the same. You were the problem. So you come back and pay for a little more.

And here is what I learnt from my failures and that of others. Remembering a thing and understanding it are not the same. You can memorise a definition word for word and still go blank the second you are asked to use it, this has been mine and many others' experiences, and perhaps you too. Every one of those tools helps you collect facts. Not one of them teaches you to connect them, and connecting them was always the whole point. Darwin himself, that same boy his father wrote off, said all he ever wanted was to understand what he saw, to group every scattered fact under some general law. That is the whole difference between knowing a thing and understanding it.

And there it is, the problem and the solution.

The fix is the reverse of all of it. Away from sitting still and absorbing. Away from the points and the streaks and the noise. Toward you doing the actual thinking. It is something I love, so I spent months learning how people genuinely learn, and turned it into one system, the Norudit Flywheel. I won't bury you in it here. Read how the Flywheel works.

And maybe you're wondering where all this came from. It began as something much smaller, I only wanted the weight of organising it all off my own plate. The few things that came close were built for professionals, and priced for them. So I tried the easy way first, letting AI do the work for me, the very shortcut I've been warning you about, and it fell apart. So I did the only thing that ever really works, I learned it myself. No mentor, no one to guide me, just me, my mistakes and the screen, some days more than nine hours of it, day after day, for a year, until it clicked in January 2026. Then I spent seven months building it.

And I want to make this clear, you DO NOT need Norudit to do this, you can do it on your own, Norudit only makes it easier, taking the setup and the bookkeeping off your plate so your energy goes into learning instead of admin. Here is the whole method, step by step, no app required, because I believe no one should be disadvantaged in learning just because of their financial situation.

Then I went one step further, and I'll admit this part was selfish. I built it for someone I love. She's dyslexic, and I watched every one of these apps overwhelm her, stealing her attention before she'd learnt a single thing. I get overwhelmed easily too, I've just learned to manage it, but she was the reason I went deep. So I read everything I could find on designing for neurodivergent minds, and I built the opposite, something quiet enough to think in. And here's what I didn't expect: neurodivergent minds and overachievers like me carry the same weight, stress, hers from within, mine from the pressure I pile on myself. Norudit's etymology is Notitia + Eruditio. Notitia = knowledge/facts, Eruditio = education/critical thinking: to learn and apply the knowledge through critical thinking. But my personal philosophy takes it a step further, saying it's a never ending cycle: the more you understand the more you realise you don't know, and that desire causes you to go through the sequence again in a never ending cycle.
